Cloud City ‘Tolerant’

Yes of course, the name should be Taloraan city, from Star Wars

But do you know why it’s called cloud city? Simply because it actually floats up in the sky above the clouds.. Again, why?? Because the planet has no soil, but gasses.

The country where I’m currently living in, has definitive fertile soil, you throw a wood stick then it will become a tree. Because of this, it grows so many varieties, species, including races. What unite us is God, one and only, may God always protect us, guide us, and give us barokah on our living. In contrary, what tries to destroy us of course, is evil and its derivatives: greedy, tyranny, jealousy, which usually from external who don’t like us become happy ever after. You know Sméagol / Gollum character from The Lord of the Rings? Nevermind.. But you should be inspired with..

The city of tolerant….

It is our responsibility is defend this country, to take care of each other from fitnah, fake news, hoax, devide-et-impera…. in any kind. The key is good akhlaq, so we can keep tolerance.

O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted. [QS 49:13]

the butterfly effect, controlled

It has been said that something as small as the flutter of a butterfly’s wing can ultimately cause a typhoon halfway around the world – Chaos Theory

Why chaos? Because the domino effect in this context is accumulative, like snow ball, but no clear direction… uncontrolled… which in the end: chaos.

One good example of this is viral news. Which mostly ends with unpleasant fight. As we all know, virus, spread the negatives.

And so we need to control from the very start. Hoax, hatred, fitnah, fake-news, don’t ever spread them. Leave debates behind, even if you know your right, but the bigger agenda is to avoid hurricanes. Don’t feed syaitan.

Destroying is quite easy, while to build requires greater efforts.

Focus on what you can do, every single things matter.

Consider this..

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

When a man dies, his acts come to an end, but three, recurring charity, or knowledge (by which people) benefit, or a pious son, who prays for him (for the deceased). [HR Muslim No.1631]
Allahu a’lam..

Be proactive on things that matter, start with the area you can control.

Proactive people focus on things they can control rather than they can’t. For example, you cannot change the weather to rain or not, but you can manage your schedule and perhaps, wear coat or bring umbrella.

In time management, we don’t talk about extending hours, but instead with the given 24 hours a day, we manage things based on the priorities in our life, for now and the future.

Combine those two, there we need to focus on. And now, start your engine…

For each one are successive [angels] before and behind him who protect him by the decree of Allah . Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron. [QS 13:11]

Wallahu a’lam bishowab..

Why cannot be secular?

God Almighty

There are house rules that govern the rights of a child. There are community rules in the neighborhood. There are regulations in nations. United nations has agreements also for its members.

A father leads a family, a CEO leads a company, a president leads a country. Beyond president? Maybe there will be world leaders, planet leaders.. and so on… Beyond all of them? Then of course we simply say God Almighty.

A pharaoh once led the human kind, who hardly accept the presence of God. Even he claimed the God himself, who could decide who would die and who would stay alive. This lesson has been written in books to teach human, to remember that beyond all of us, there’s mighty God.

The Word of God

People who believe in God, who have faith, following the teaching the guidance as known with religion. So we simply say religion is the way of life.

But what that underlies a religion? Kitab? Holy book? Okay..

Did human create holy book? Never say so. We believe it’s the word of God.

Religion, the way of life

If the highest entity is God, Holy book is the word of God, and religion follows the book… Then should we position God side by side with presidents? Should we position Holy book side by side with human made regulations? Should we put religion side by side with what ever the community made by human? Well its up to you…

I say religion cannot be equal to those human made, but must be beyond, since it’s the way of life.

Why separate between life and way of life? Why secular?

Logically, it’s impossible, unless for non-believers, or some believers that don’t actually believe, people who claim to be a believer but in the other side say “why so serious in believing in God?”.

After understanding all of those mentioned above, then now can we answer why?

Because the religion i’m following cannot be secular.

For self, then the rest

The idea of how religion works, considering on how it was established chronologically, is that it start from self. So, why bother others whether being a good worshiper, while it’s not intended for them in the first place?

When the self can feel the religion, how it works to build a better self, no wonder if then it influence the surroundings, and perhaps a better quality of family life might sparks. In the neighborhood, a happy family may inspire others, and this is when a healthy community is actually formed. In the end, a civilized ummat will arise.

What I’m saying here is that to tell you that there’s no force in religion. It’s not like you are forced to possess a country’s citizenship. It’s not like you are forced to have an ID Card in exchange of getting facilities from the government. But it’s more about you are worshiping, doing good things, and no matter you get facilities or not after that, the fact that your quality of soul has been enlightened.

Did anyone ever told us to become the richest man in the world?
Did anyone ever told us to become the most powerful person in the world?
Did anyone ever told us to become the smartest scientist in the world?

I’m told, however, not to be a poor person, so that I won’t burden others. I’m told.. to grow, to develop the quality of life, but not necessarily to be the superlative. Yes, I’m told to compete… but only in goodness. And who told me all of those?
